Overlocker operator • Clay County, Florida

We are recruiting: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Clay County, Florida. Your main tasks: • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Six days a week, one day off.
