Join our team: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Chaffee County, Colorado. You will work in a die and mould making unit. On a typical shift you will keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery Overtime paid at a premium rate.
