Gas commissioning technician — DeKalb County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in DeKalb County, Alabama. You will work at a heating and plumbing contractor. What we are looking for: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Able to read isometric and site drawings Day-to-day duties: • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Run polyethylene (PE) service pipe and electrofusion-weld the joints 4+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
