UPVC window fabricator — Shetland Islands

Immediate opening: we are hiring an uPVC window fabricator in Shetland Islands, Scotland. On a typical shift you will check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals; read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile; crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame; fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash; clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash; fuse-weld frame and sash corners on the welding machine and check the weld seam. Requirements: • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Confident on the double-mitre saw, welder and corner-cleaning machine 3+ years on the tools preferred. Rotating shifts. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
