Now hiring: we are hiring a panel welder in Newton County, Indiana. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. The role involves: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols Ideal candidate: • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
