Safety inspector — Roscommon County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety inspector in Roscommon County, Michigan. The job is on a road and infrastructure project. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training Day-to-day duties: • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points • Check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
