Pipe tig welder • Bende, Abia State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Bende, Abia State. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding You should have: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 5+ years on the tools preferred. ₦550 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
