Brickwork mason • Maverick County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a brickwork mason in Maverick County, Texas. You will be based on a commercial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Full-time with occasional weekends. $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
