Metal caster • Lamar County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Lamar County, Texas. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings.
