Now hiring: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Randolph County, Illinois. You will be based on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
