Now hiring: foundry operative (Washington)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lincoln County, Washington. Your main tasks: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills We offer $230 per day plus benefits.
