Foundry labourer wanted in Uintah County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Uintah County, Utah. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Day-to-day duties: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection 5+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
