Backhoe operator wanted in Lancashire

Join our team: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Lancashire, England. You will work at a drainage and utilities contractor. The role involves load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds; lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly. Requirements: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat 2+ years on the tools preferred. £2,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
