Building site helper • Perry County, Illinois

Vacancy available: we are hiring a building site helper in Perry County, Illinois. You will be based on a road and bridge project. Day-to-day duties: • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction • Carry bricks, cement bags and sand up to the masons on site • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors What we are looking for: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Know how to mix concrete and mortar to the right ratio • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
