Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry worker in Acadia Parish, Louisiana. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On a typical shift you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring.
