Immediate opening: blocklayer (Mississippi)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a blocklayer in Lee County, Mississippi. The job is on a new-build development. On the job you will handle: • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Part-time with flexible hours.
