Formwork joiner — Calvert County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a formwork joiner in Calvert County, Maryland. You will be based on a residential tower site. On a typical shift you will strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured; erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN); de-nail, clean and stack the panels for reuse. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing • Hands-on with timber, plywood and system formwork Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
