Furnace operator — Asotin County

Join our team: we are hiring a furnace operator in Asotin County, Washington. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Day to day you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring.
