Backhoe operator — Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a backhoe operator in Northeastern Connecticut Planning Region, Connecticut. You will be based on a busy civils and groundworks site. Ideal candidate: • Valid CPCS/NPORS card or local heavy-equipment licence • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control You will carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels.
