Die-casting operator — Randolph County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Randolph County, West Virginia. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Your main tasks: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities You should have: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
