Shakeout operator — Edwards County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Edwards County, Kansas. You will be based in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Pay around $220 per day, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
