Steam press operator — Ellis County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steam press operator in Ellis County, Oklahoma. You will be based in a tailoring workshop. Requirements: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Your main tasks: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments 4+ years on the tools preferred.
