Banksman — Klickitat County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Klickitat County, Washington. You will be based at a power plant. What we are looking for: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Day to day you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position.
