What we are looking for: • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Current Driver CPC qualification card Day-to-day duties: • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays • Couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels Part-time with flexible hours.
