Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Collingsworth County, Texas. On a typical shift you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
