Crane rigger — Abak

Great opportunity: we are hiring a crane rigger in Abak, Akwa Ibom State. You will work at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear Full-time with occasional weekends.
