Horizontal milling machine operator — Van Buren County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Van Buren County, Michigan. You will work at a fabrication and machining plant. Requirements: • Able to grind and set HSS cutters • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges The role involves: • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $3,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
