Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Grayson County, Virginia. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. You will back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters. What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
