Formwork carpenter • Marion County, Tennessee

Vacancy available: we are hiring a formwork carpenter in Marion County, Tennessee. Day to day you will cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing 5+ years on the tools preferred.
