Banksman — Hancock County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Hancock County, Georgia. The role involves: • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position You should have: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 2+ years on the tools preferred. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
