Restoration bricklayer • Washington County, Florida

Immediate opening: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Washington County, Florida. You will work at a renovation and extension job. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Day-to-day duties: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
