Immediate opening: head baker (New York)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a head baker in Columbia County, New York. The job is at an in-store supermarket bakery. Day-to-day duties: • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Score the top of loaves before baking • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Grease and clean baking trays, tins and moulds • Prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity You should have: • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Accurate at weighing and following recipes 5+ years on the tools preferred.
