The role involves: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks You should have: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
