Now hiring: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Fluvanna County, Virginia. You will work at a steel fabrication workshop. The role involves read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
