Immediate opening: furnace operator (Virginia)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Fluvanna County, Virginia. You will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Part-time with flexible hours.
