Finishing presser — Ottawa County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a finishing presser in Ottawa County, Kansas. You will work at a garment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings We offer $2,800 per month plus benefits.
