Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Clay County, Missouri. You will be based on the moulding line. The role involves shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
