Requirements: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through On a typical shift you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
