Shakeout operator — Crawford County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Crawford County, Michigan. The job is on the moulding line. What we are looking for: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On a typical shift you will maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Six days a week, one day off. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
