Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Mason County, Kentucky. The job is at an automotive body and exhaust shop. You will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
