Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon welder in Kaga, Borno State. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions. You should have: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
