Great opportunity: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Barron County, Wisconsin. The job is in a sampling and tailoring workshop. On the job you will handle: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens 2+ years on the tools preferred.
