Semi-automatic welder • Whitley County, Indiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Whitley County, Indiana. You will be based on a structural steel site. You should have: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Your main tasks: • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch 5+ years on the tools preferred.
