Now hiring: flatlock machine operator (Virginia)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Middlesex County, Virginia. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day-to-day duties: • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
