Argon arc welder — Steele County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Steele County, Minnesota. Day-to-day duties: • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Overtime paid at a premium rate.
