Furnace operator wanted in Antelope County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furnace operator in Antelope County, Nebraska. Requirements: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Day-to-day duties: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Full-time with occasional weekends.
