Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Turner County, Georgia. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity.
