Now hiring: we are hiring a hydraulic crane operator in Hardin County, Iowa. You will be based at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Strong attention to safety and load limits On the job you will handle: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) • Rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams We offer $28 per hour plus benefits.
