Tiling assistant • Kent County, Texas

Great opportunity: we are hiring a tiling assistant in Kent County, Texas. You will work in a tile and sanitaryware showroom. On the job you will handle: • Cut ceramic and porcelain tiles on a manual tile cutter • Lay floor and wall tiles to plumb and level using a spirit level • Grout the joints and wipe off the excess with a damp sponge • Level large-format tiles with a tile levelling system • Spread adhesive with a notched trowel and back-butter the tiles • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling Requirements: • Physically fit for kneeling, bending and lifting tile boxes • Able to read setting-out drawings and tile layouts • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
