Brick and block layer — Doddridge County

Join our team: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Doddridge County, West Virginia. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools The role involves: • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
